Weddings at New Hope Camp and Conference Center

New Hope Camp and Conference Center is a beautiful backdrop for your wedding ceremony and reception. The natural setting, large fireplaces, and spacious buildings provide a tranquil place to celebrate your commitment. Our Dining Hall and Fleming Lodge are easily transformed into a wonderful space for a variety of wedding styles. Other buildings on site are available for smaller wedding parties or overnight guests. Location

Located just three miles from Interstates 40 and 85, we are on NC Hwy 86, and 15 minutes north of Chapel Hill's Franklin Street.

Our facility offers an easy and direct drive from many Triangle and Triad locations. Out of state friends and family will have only a 25-minute drive from the RDU International Airport.

Reservations

Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please call well in advance of your planned event to assure that dates and facilities will be available.

All rentals are 24 hours. Anything over 24 hours of use will be considered another full day's rental.

A deposit totaling half of the minimum charge for each facility you are renting is required to hold the building. We accept MasterCard and Visa as well as personal checks and cash.

The Dining Hall

This building has a covered front porch that is the width of the building with rocking chairs, a large central fireplace and a front wall of windows letting in natural light. The building has central heat and air conditioning. Below are some options for using the space for your event. 200 people is the maximum capacity.

128 seats for a dinner reception: buffet in the center; no dance floor

112 seats for a dinner reception: buffet on each end with space for dancing in the center

64 seats for dinner/refreshments on one end: buffet in the center; large dance floor space on other end

Fee: $300 (minimum charge) -----60 people or less

$5.00 per person -----61 people or more

Fleming Lodge

This building is 1800 square feet and is one large, open space with two bathrooms, a large fireplace, large windows and a galley kitchen. Fleming boasts a covered front porch and open back deck as well as central heat and air conditioning. Below are some options for using the space for your event.

80-100 seats for a dinner reception: buffet space on one end; no dance floor space

64-80 seats for a dinner reception: buffet space; limited music/dance floor space

Up to 64 seats for a dinner reception: dance floor; buffet space

Fee: $225 (minimum charge) -----50 people or less

$4.50 per person -----51 people or more

Outdoor Pavilion and Field Space

Prefer to have a tent reception? Use one of our two main fields for your party tent setup. Our large picnic pavilions are located adjacent to each field. The pavilion can be a great place for additional space or a kid's area. Each picnic pavilion has 8-10 picnic tables and the back pavilion has a full kitchen. Guests using the front pavilion have access to the office bathrooms while guests in the back pavilion use the bath house. Capacity is only limited by your tent size.

Fees: Front Field: $85.00 (minimum) - 25 people or less

$3.50 per person - 26 people or more

Back Field: $96.00 (minimum) - 25 people or less

$4.00 per person - 26 people or more

Vespers Area

For couples looking for an outdoor ceremony site there is the option of using the Vespers Area of New Hope. This outdoor chapel overlooking our pond is a great choice for a more casual ceremony surrounded by nature. Benches are provided and would seat 50 but rented chairs are a great way to add seating for your guests. If you are using another facility on camp for your reception, there is no charge for having the ceremony in the vesper area. You can reserve this space through the office.

Tables and Chairs Available On Site

NHCCC can provide tables and navy chairs at no extra charge. We have a variety of rectangular and round tables for use in Fleming and the Dining Hall. We will make sure that all of the tables and chairs you request are in the building and the placement is up to you. We are happy to offer suggestions for a set up that would best suit your group and activities.

Tables and Chair Rental

Groups may rent chairs and tables from outside companies in place of or in addition to the ones we can provide. The company or renter is responsible for all setup and breakdown of rental items. NHCCC is not responsible for lost or damaged items as a result of the event or as a result of leaving rented items overnight. Items must be out of the facility within the 24 hour rental period or you must pay the minimum fee for another 24 hour period.

Catering

We allow all caterers on site. The kitchen of the Dining Hall is closed for renovation and is off limits to guests and caterers. Please inform your caterer of this and remember to have them provide for all of your food service needs. There is a small kitchen in Fleming that is open for your caterer to use. Also available is a standard sized refrigerator in the Dining Hall.

Decorations

Decor is an important part of your wedding ceremony and reception. It is a reflection of your style and who you are. Decorations are welcome in both the Dining Hall and Fleming. However, do not attach anything to the walls with nails, screws, masking tape, hooks, etc... We do allow blue 14 day release painter's tape on our walls. Please ask our staff if you have questions.

Music and DJ's

Groups are welcome to hire their own DJ or music service for the wedding reception. New Hope Camp and Conference Center has quiet hours beginning at 10:00pm every night. We ask that all groups be respectful of this. Since we are a conference center, we often have multiple events/groups here on any given night.

Alcohol Use

Champagne and wine is permitted in Dogwood Lodge, Fleming Lodge and the Dining Hall only. No hard liquor is allowed on site. Groups wishing to serve alcohol at their event must sign our alcohol policy and waiver and must pay a refundable deposit of $200. All of the deposit will be refunded if no damages or violations occur. Alcohol must be served and consumed INSIDE the building and may only be served to those in your party. Please be mindful that there will likely be other groups on the grounds during your event, some which may include children.

Parking

Parking areas are behind the Dining Hall and below Fleming along the white fencing across from the office. Please do not allow your guest to drive onto the mulched areas between Fleming and the Dining Hall.

Signage

Groups are permitted and encouraged to put up additional signage to direct their guest to the correct buildings. Signs are not allowed on the New Hope Camp and Conference Center road signs along Highway 86 or on the New Hope Presbyterian Church grounds. Signs are allowed within the camp gates as long as other building signs are not blocked from view. Please remember to remove your signs at the end of your event.

Departure

As the bride and groom depart from the reception, bubbles may be used in the grass or on mulched areas. Bubbles may not be used on the porches of our buildings. It can create a slick surface and a dangerous situation for your guests. Throwing rice is prohibited.

Clean Up

All groups using New Hope Camp and Conference Center are expected to follow our cleaning policy listed on the back of the purple check out sheet. We simply ask that you leave the building as you found it.

Directions

Maps to NHCCC and maps of NHCCC are provided in the office as well as on our website. No one is available to give directions by phone after our office hours. You can choose to copy and include the map/directions in your invitations or copy them for your guests to be handed out at the end of an off site ceremony.

Overnight Accommodations

The Camp's cabins and tent-site areas offer rustic accommodations, while our guesthouses and lodges provide more comfortable, yet basic, housing. All beds have regular twin sized mattresses. Guests provide their own bedding and towels. Your guests may also choose from the wide variety of hotels and motels in the Chapel Hill and Hillsborough areas, all within a fifteen to twenty minute drive.
