Is there a registration deadline?

Applicants are accepted on a first come, first served basis. We fill up early! Typically, we accept up to 15 campers per age-group per week. Campers can be wait-listed. Modifications to groups may be made on high-demand weeks, but are not guaranteed.

The registration deadline is the Tuesday (6 days) before the camp you would like to attend. If a registration is received after Tuesday, we cannot guarantee that the registration will be processed in time for the start of camp.

What grade is a child allowed to attend camp?

Campers must be in rising 1st – 9th grade. Overnight Camps are for rising 5th – 9th grade and Rookie Camp for rising 4th – 5th grade

How are camper groups determined?

We organize our groups by rising grade. There are no more than 15 campers per group.

Do I need to pack a lunch?

No, snacks and meals are part of the camp fee. We accommodate dietary restrictions such as gluten free or vegetarian diet.

What time is drop off and pick up?

Our camp program begins at 8am and ends at 5pm. Early drop off at 7:30am  and late pick up by 6pm at no extra charge.

What does my child need to bring?

Campers should wear sensible shoes to run around camp and comfortable clothes. Each day campers should bring a water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, a towel, and a modest bathing suit. 

What does my child need to bring for overnight camp?

Overnight sessions begin at 8am on Monday and end at 5pm on Friday.

Additional items to bring:

  • sleeping bag
  • sheets for mattress
  • pillow (only if you want!)
  • flashlight
  • additional clothing
  • warm socks and a sweatshirt
  • raincoat
  • 3 towels (2 for showering, 1 for pool)
  • toiletries

My child is not a good swimmer. Do you provide swim lessons?

Children in rising 1st and 2nd grade will have the opportunity to have group swim lessons with our water safety instructor. 

What is your refund/cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be made 4 weeks prior to the starting date of camp to be eligible for a refund.
If a cancellation notice is received by the NHCCC office 4 weeks prior to camp, a refund will be given in the amount paid minus the $75.00 non-refundable deposit.
Campers canceling less than 4 weeks prior to their camp will NOT be entitled to a refund.

NO refunds will be given if a camper leaves camp early, regardless of the situation (including illness).
In the event NHCCC has to cancel a camp session, a full refund will be given or the camper may choose to attend another session.

Do you offer discounts?

Early Birds – Register by April 15, 2019 and save $5 per session/camper. 
Members of NHCCC’s supporting churches – save $5 per session/camper.NHCCC’s supporting churches: Church of Reconciliation, Hawfields Presbyterian Church, Hillsborough Presbyterian Church, New Hope Presbyterian Church, University Presbyterian Church and Westminster Presbyterian Church                                                                                                                                Sibling Discount – For each session there will be a $5 discount for each additional sibling attending a session. Campers must be in same session to qualify.

Do you offer financial assistance?

We encourage you to seek other options to assist in the cost of camp such as your Church or other family members. If this is not possible please complete the scholarship form which can be found online and submit with your registration form. Click here
