Intersession programs are available for kindergarten – 6th grade
($175/week – 2 snacks provided each day – Daily options available)
Week 1: December 17-21
Search for the Abominable Snowman: Join us as we track the mysterious Abominable Snowman. Campers will set out to find proof of the Yeti in a hunt that will test their skills by identifying tracks, searching for clues, and making traps. Along the way campers will break to play “ice” hockey, build snowmen, and create snow shelters. Will our campers be able to separate fact from fiction and find hard evidence that the Yeti is real? Join us on the hunt to become abominable snowman experts!
Week 2: January 2 to 4
Unplugged Video Game Week: Adventures await as we partake in games unplugged! Games will come to life this week as we bring them off the screen. Campers will use their creativity to build Mario Karts, make their own computer character, and build Angry Bird slingshots. Join us as campers indulge their creativity and imagination.
March 18 – 22
Ahoy Pirates : Well shiver me timbers…pirates are landing at New Hope Camp and want us to be part of the crew. Join us as we set sail on an adventurous week of pirate discovery around camp. Pirates will use our own team building trail to prepare the crew for adventures, enjoy hunting for the treasures around camp, and practicing sling shot skills. Will our crew make the staff walk the plank? You will only find out in our exciting swashbuckling pirate week adventure.
March 25 – 29
The jungle has come to New Hope Camp and we are ready! Our campers will go on safari walking tours around camp and learn about life in the jungle. We will have to watch out for the wild animals we may find along the way! A trip to NC Zoo in Asheboro is planned for this week. Join us for a week were we learn the laws of the jungle perhaps from ole Baloo bear himself! (field trip, additional $15)
April 1 -5
Spies Like Us
The Spy Training Academy has come to New Hope Camp for the week. Over the week our campers will go through rigorous training to become what it takes to be a world class spy. Each day they will have mysteries to solve, develop secret codes, and create gadgets. The spy laboratory helps our campers create invisible ink and look for fingerprints. Watch out, by the end of the week no secret will be safe and there will be a spy among us.
Teacher Workday programs are available for kindergarten – 6th grade
Children will enjoy all that New Hope Camp has to offer – outdoor fun can include hiking, exploring the world around us, and perhaps some fishing. The day includes a variety of activities coordinated by our well trained staff. Registration is required in advance.
Teacher Workday programs begin at 8am and end at 5pm. Early drop off at 7:30am and late pick up by 6pm are offered at no additional fee. We provide 2 nutritional snacks during the day. The cost is $40 per child.
Camp is closed on the following dates for 2018/2019 academic year:
