Executive Director at New Hope Camp and Conference Center

New Hope Camp and Conference Center, Inc. (NHCCC) seeks an individual to serve as Executive Director. This person will report to the Board of Directors and would be responsible for the following:

Mission *

1. Interpret, implement, and evaluate mission statement and goals as adopted by the Board of Directors and effectively lead NHCCC through the process of growth.

2. Work with, set goals for, and help to staff committees set up by the Board. Create task forces as needed in collaboration with the Board of Directors.

3. Promote a camp-wide awareness of environmental responsibilities as good stewards of God's creation.

Outreach *

4. Develop relationships with Presbyterian Partner Churches, Local Congregations that frequent NHCCC, local schools, potential partners/clients, as well as the Presbytery of New Hope.

5. Direct advertising and marketing for camp and retreat business.

Buildings and Growth *

6. Plan for short term and long range facility maintenance and site needs, including prioritizing current needs with the maintenance staff, planning for and securing funding for long term needs, and contracting outside labor when necessary.

7. Maintain inventory of all property, supplies and equipment.

8. Inspect property for safety and manage timely corrections.

9. Develop a site integrity plan consistent with our mission statement, coordinated with program development, facility modification and long range planning.

Programming *

10. Provide a top quality camp experience for campers, recruited staff, volunteers and visiting groups, ensuring that Christian hospitality marks all relationships.

11. Oversee summer camp and retreat operations; pool control and water sanitation; purchasing and storage of food.

12. Supervise Program Director on NHCCC programs.

Evaluation *

13. Develop, monitor and evaluate risk management plans for summer camp and retreat groups.

14. Report to NHCCC Board monthly regarding retreat usage, property issues and all critical aspects of the operation of NHCCC.

15. Regularly evaluate policies, programs and personnel.

Staff *

16. Recruit, train and supervise staff based on their established job descriptions.

17. Maintain a healthy work environment where staff experience high motivation and satisfaction, and good cooperation and communication.

18. Maintain accurate personnel records.

Fiscal *

19. Plan and manage funds development.

20. Maintain accurate database of campers and retreat groups.

21. Make a monthly financial report to the NHCCC Board of Directors.

22. Initiate applications for grants and outside funding.

Other tasks as needed or as assigned by the NHCCC Board of Directors.

* While responsibility remains with the Executive Director, this person has the authority to assign duties to appropriate staff or contractor.

Compensation will include onsite housing, medical insurance and pension. Salary is commensurate with level of experience and duties required at a non-profit, outdoor ministry.
